Parent Formation Evenings

Programs begins at 7:15

Saint Mary's College High School is pleased to announce that Michael Carrota, author of Sometimes We Dance, Sometimes We Wrestle will present to the Saint Mary’s community in March 2010. In preparation for his presentation in March, we would like to invite you to join us for a series of Evenings of Solidarity.  

Our evenings will address the following topics:

  • Equipping parents with the necessary skills and tools in guiding children toward positive choices
  • Building trust; acknowledging and understanding the fear and the unknown
  • Setting boundaries for both parents and children
  • Moving from "protection" to “preparing”
  • Building open communication and positive relationship
  • Exploring and discovering adolescent spirituality

A Discussion with Michael Carotta, Author of Sometimes We Dance, Sometimes We Wrestle

Michael Carotta has had his entire career focused on adolescent spiritual development. He has a Bachelors degree in Psychology, a Masters in Religious Education, and a doctorate in Leadership Education. He taught for 11 years in Catholic high schools and served 7 years as a diocesan director of adolescent catechesis. He was the first layperson to serve as the Executive Director of the NCEA Department of Religious Education in Washington.
