A Message from the College Counselor
The college counselor partners with students and parents to give guidance and support through the many steps involved in applying to college. Students are encouraged to explore college options while examining their interests and talents in order to find an appropriate fit for higher education. The college counseling program feels that there is a path to higher education for all students, and advises them to keep open a variety of options before making a final decision about postsecondary study. Approximately 95% of Saint Mary’s graduates attend four-year colleges and universities and 4% attend two-year colleges. The remaining few defer for a year before continuing their education.
