The 2008 – 2009 Annual Fund
The Annual Fund represents Saint Mary’s core giving program for the needs of today’s students. This year’s campaign has an ambitious goal of $525,000.
While tuition provides the primary means by which we fund the school’s operating expenses, it does not cover the true cost of educating the whole child. Saint Mary’s, like all other private high schools, depends on unrestricted annual contributions from parents, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff as well as foundations and corporations to fulfill the school’s mission.
In setting tuition, the leadership of the school takes many factors into consideration. The school remains steadfast in her commitment to making a Saint Mary’s education attainable to qualified students, especially those from working class and economically challenged families. A full-cost tuition would make attending Saint Mary’s out of reach for many of our families.
Every student benefits from a strong Annual Fund. Resources from this critical program support the following areas:
Mind: academics and cutting-edge technology
Body: co-curricular activities, facility upgrades
Spirit: campus ministry, tuition assistance, and class retreats
Saint Mary’s receives Annual Fund gifts ranging from $25 to $10,000. Every gift is important and together with the entire community of alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends we can keep the Panther Spirit strong.
- Don’t forget – many companies have a matching gift program which allows you to increase the value of your gift. Please take advantage of this opportunity by contacting your company’s human resource department.
- Contributions are received throughout the fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) and are recognized in the Annual Report published the following fall.
